Thank you so much for stopping by to learn more about me. My name is Kristin and I am currently working as an SLP in a rural special-education co-op in Central Texas. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University with an MS in Speech Language Pathology in August of 2015. I worked as an SLP Assistant for 2 years while I was in grad school.
Prior to entering the SLP world, I was a teacher. I taught for 7 years after earning my Master of Arts in Teaching (also from Texas Woman’s University).
I also studied theatre at the University of CA, San Diego where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in 2003.
I am originally from San Diego, CA, but moved to Texas in 2004. I have loved living in Texas and really enjoy the small town lifestyle (except for all the bugs and critters). I live with my husband and daughter in a very small town. She goes to a great school and is really proud to be a Texan. She even has a little Texas Twang that she just loves (she doesn’t really hear it, but loves when family and friends in CA mention how cute it is).
I love sharing ideas and learning from other SLPs. I started this blog to have a way to share my experiences, and hopefully to hear from my readers about their experiences. I also have a store at Teachers Pay Teachers where you can get some of the products I have created for my speech therapy students. Check it out by clicking HERE.
